Are there examples obtaining the “WP” on receiver and barrel in addition to the Oval P about the barrel which have an R&R note? In that case, do they manifest pre-1905 or submit-1905 or both of those?

I picked up on an older topic/post where others that have mentioned that a barrel acquiring the “Oval P” might have been fitted by Winchester:

I can not identify just when the “Oval P” was initially used depending on my do the job but I might make this observation. The Oval P evidence stamp is only observed on barrels that have a Design three barrel handle which is located to the remaining side on the barrel. This position was not widespread until 1910 for the Product 1892 rifles.

Ned Schwing said in his reference book to the Model 1890 & 1906 that Winchester commenced proof marking them in 1908… I don't know if which is exact, but will suppose that it's. The “WP” proof mark was utilized once the barrel and receiver have been mated, assembled and concluded. This is highly obvious around the firearms made within the late teens as a result of early 30s once the blue flaked (popped) off in the event the evidence was struck within the receiver body.
